-Clean and test smoke alarms
-Test and reset all GFCIs
-Clean and change
furnace filter
-Check fire extinguishers to ensure a full charge
-Clean disposal blades by grinding up some ice cubes
-Freshen disposal with baking soda or by grinding up some citrus fruit rinds
-Check caulking in all wet areas and re-caulk as needed with the appropriate caulk
-Clean or replace range vent filter
-Check lawn sprinkler heads for proper coverage and adjust as needed
SEMI-ANNUALLY
-Operate heat system - early in the Fall
-Operate air conditioning system - early in the Spring
-Inspect drainage
-Seal concrete cracks
-Inspect exterior paint or stain
-Replace smoke detector batteries
-Touch up caulk
-Lube garage overhead door and tighten bolts
-Clean gutters
ANNUALLY
-Drain water from bottom of water heater - or as directed by the manufacturer’s literature
-Operate pressure relief valve on water heater
-Clean window weep holes - or as needed
-Chimney cleaning - or as needed
-Renew termite protection
-Check and tighten deck bolts
-Check deck sealer - reseal when water does not bead
-Check dryer vent for obstructions / clean or replace vent hose
