APPLIANCES

It is important to read and follow all manufacturers' requirements for each appliance in your new home. It is your responsibility to report any problem with any appliances directly to the appliance service representative. The phone number is usually located in the lower corner of the back page of the appliance OWNER'S manual.

Before calling for service check the following:
-Is the appliance plugged in
-Check GFCI circuit
-Check circuit breaker in the main panel
-Some appliances have their own circuit breakers or fuses, check the owner's manual for locations

Refrigerators / Freezers:
-Check and clean the gaskets regularly to ensure a tight seal
-Set temperatures at the manufacturer's recommended setting
-Never plug a refrierator or freezer into a GFCI plug, these trip much easier than a normal plug, which may cause contents to spoil if not discovered for a long period

Dishwasher:
-Use only when you have a full load, but, don't overload
-Use shortest cycle possible

Garbage Disposal:
-Always use cold water to keep from overheating the motor
-If unit become jammed, use the wrench provided to free it up and try again
-if the unit won't start check the reset button on the bottom
